Joseph's Storehouse Food Bank began out of a weekly gathering of local pastors, church and business leaders.
After much prayer and discussion the vision for Joseph's Storehouse (Food for the Hungry, Clothes for the Naked, and Help for the Hurting...) was embraced in December of 1998. Since then literally thousands of tons of food, clothing, blankets and other resources have been distributed to marginalized families throughout the community.
Our Joseph's Storehouse cargo trucks travel throughout Southern California picking up tons of fresh food donated daily by several large grocery chains. We also purchase boxed staples at discounted prices to serve thousands of poor and need families throughout the region each and every month.
In an effort to aggressively help prevent homelessness, we provide over $300 per month in food savings for families which enable them to redirect those funds toward paying their rent and utilities. One large food box is available per family - per week, worth in excess of $75 of quality food products.
Food Distribution hours are:
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
